Das Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) ist eine öffentlich-private Partnerschaft zwischen der EU und dem Bio-based Industries Consortium und hat ein Fördervolumen von 3,7 Milliarden Euro. Ein starker biobasierter europäischer Industriesektor wird die Abhängigkeit Europas von fossilen Rohstoffen beträchtlich verringern, helfen die Klimaziele der EU zu erreichen und zu einem grüneren und umweltfreundlicheren Wachstum führen.
